By joining our B2B Retail Marketplace team as (Senior) Sales and Relationships Manager, you will create a real and lasting impact for the environment while working hand-in-hand with the founders to unlock the $3tr retail excess stock market and experience a scaling venture from day 1!
About the role

As (Senior) Sales and Relationships Manager, you’ll be the key link between smatch and the sport & outdoor retail world. You’ll use your industry knowledge and network to identify new partners, close deals, and build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Account Growth: Develop and maintain long-term, high-level relationships with major food and non-food discount chains like Aldi, Lidl, Kik, or Tedi.
  • Full Cycle Sales: Sell attractive, high-volume deals and manage the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting and network leverage to closing the deal.
  • Network Expansion: Proactively identify and onboard new partners, including large outlet chains and wholesalers, to broaden our market footprint.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Negotiate complex contracts and manage accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and recurring business.
  • Field Representation: Visit clients regularly across the DACH region to represent smatch in high-stakes meetings and negotiations.
  • Data-Driven Sales: Use CRM tools (Pipedrive) and Excel/Google Sheets to track your pipeline, manage performance, and provide accurate forecasts.
About you
  • Experience: 5 - 15 years of senior experience in sales or key account management within the sport, outdoor, or textile industry.
  • Discount Network: You bring a proven, deep-rooted network of decision-makers at leading European discounters (e.g., Aldi, Lidl, Kik).
  • Personality: You are a classic "people guy" with an entrepreneurial mindset and a high drive for closing deals.
  • Motivation: You are highly performance-oriented and thrive in environments with uncapped bonus structures.
  • Languages: Fluent in German is a must; good English skills are required for internal collaboration.
