About the role
This Senior Seller role is key to driving smatch’s expansion in the southern European fashion market, with a focus on Iberia. Focused on selling high-quality inventory at competitive prices, the role will build buyer relationships, negotiate deals, and lead a team. This position is vital for establishing a strong demand base and growing smatch’s market presence. The Senior Seller will report directly to the founders of smatch.
Key Responsibilities:- Source and secure diverse demand channels, including retail chains, offprice chains, wholesaler and B2C Marketplaces.
- Build and leverage personal networks to expand smatch’s selling options.
- Establish and manage business relationships, ensuring consistent quarterly deals.
- Act as senior contact for selling, managing demand negotiations and decisions.
- Oversee budgets to optimize selling prices and profitability.
- Apply expertise in (off-price) fashion, footwear, and textiles to guide sales strategy. Possess a comprehensive understanding of merchandise and category management across various product types.
- Lead and mentor junior sellers as the team grows.
- Maintain strong, loyal relationships with retail representatives and partners.
