About the role
This Buyer role is key to driving smatch’s expansion in the European fashion market. Focused on sourcing high-quality inventory at competitive prices, the role will build supplier relationships, negotiate deals, and work closely with our Leadership team. This position is vital for establishing a strong supply base and growing smatch’s market presence and will report directly to one of our founders.
Key Responsibilities:- Source and secure diverse supply channels, including brands, distributors, and retailers
- Build and leverage personal networks to expand smatch’s sourcing options
- Establish and manage business relationships, ensuring consistent quarterly deals
- Act as contact for purchasing, managing supplier negotiations and decisions
- Oversee budgets to optimize purchasing prices and profitability
- Apply expertise in (off-price) fashion, footwear, and textiles to guide procurement strategy
- Maintain strong, loyal relationships with brand representatives and partners
